Security

Electronic communication is fast, efficient and cost-effective, but, according to the UK Home Office, in the year ending March 2021, the total number of Computer Misuse Act (CMA) offences assigned an outcome increased by nearly 70% compared to the previous year.  Indeed, cybercrime has been rising at a huge rate for the last decade and more.

High-profile hacking incidents are regularly in the national, and international, news headlines and we expect the statistics to increase further.

In the face of this ever-growing threat, Fitzallan is acutely aware of the need to protect our clients’ data from attack.

In addition to the enterprise-level security used to protect our office network, and the encryption of all our machines’ hard drives, we communicate with clients’ private email addresses via an encrypted email system.

Our aim is to take every reasonable measure to keep our clients’ sensitive information ‘off the grid’, making it as hard as possible for hackers to gain access to it.

The security of client data is a matter we will continue to take very seriously and we aim to remain ‘ahead of the curve’ for your protection.
